LAS VEGAS — Brandon "The Assassin Baby" Moreno made history at UFC 263 on Saturday night in Glendale, AZ.
Brandon, a proud product of Tijuana, became the first Mexican-born fighter to win a UFC Championship. With his third-round, rear-naked choke victory over Deiveson Figueiredo in their Flyweight Championship bout, Brandon also became the first Iridium Sports Agency client to strike gold in the UFC.
Saturday's submission is the 11th of the former LFA Flyweight Champion's professional career. He now has seven UFC victories to his credit.
Brandon made his pro MMA debut in 2011 in his native Tijuana. A proud family man, Brandon overcame a UFC release in 2018 and a lackluster run on The Ultimate Fighter in 2016 to be widely regarded as one of the best fighters on the planet. Brandon is an exceptional role model to young athletes inside and outside the Octagon.
